Stephen Wood

Stephen Wood is a landscape and portrait painter, and also, a celebrated composer. His work depicts movement and memory. Stephen attended the Pennsylvania Academy for the Fine Arts as well as the University of Pennsylvania. He began portrait work almost immediately upon graduation and his commissioned portraits remain in high demand. His landscapes are fresh and evoke an immediate sense of the emotional resonance of place.

Stephen resides in Boston in summer, and at Ocean Reef Club in winter. He is oft seen “out and about” at Ocean Reef Club painting en plein air, capturing the scenes that inspire him—The Point, Fishing Village, Buccaneer Island, the marina, and more.
